Dalecki Strength took its first steps in 2014 When Ev and Kat, like most in Sydney, found themselves in the rut of the corporate world. Choosing to abandon this lifestyle, they started a fitness business to reach out to you and to transform your lives through gymnastics.

  • Who can participate in adult gymnastics?

    Gymnastics can be enjoyed by people of all ages and abilities. It’s a great way to build strength, flexibility and learn skills with body weight movement. Gymnastics does require a level of commitment due to more complexity in the movements.

  • What types of gymnastics do you offer?

    We offer a variety of gymnastics training programs specifically for adults learning from scratch. Flexibility, strength, rings, bars, handstands and tumbling. The goal is to gain superior control over ones joints and movement, being able to move through space with ease. We do not teach routines like you might see at the olympics, but you will learn bits and pieces that you see high level gymnasts do. For example a freestanding handstand hold and a muscle up.

  • What should I wear to gymnastics class?

    You should wear comfortable gym clothing, something non restrictive that allows full range of movement. We don’t wear shoes, socks are optional. 

  • Do I need to have any experience to take your classes?

    Our classes are for students of all levels, from beginners to advanced. We always start with a phone call and onboarding process to ensure you have the best experience starting gymnastics. During onboarding we will test your range of motion and teach you the basic technique for rings, handstands and flexibility. This will ensure you feel confident during your first few weeks.

  • How often should I train in gymnastics?

    We recommend between 3-6 sessions per week. The ideal amount will differ from person to person based on previous training history, goals and motivation. It is also important to allow time to rest and recover between sessions. All of these factors will be discussed with your coaches in studio to make sure you training schedule is ideal.

  • How long are your classes?

    Our classes run for 60 mins. As you become more experienced you may be able to take two sessions back to back. For example doing handstand class, followed by flexibiltiy class.

  • What equipment do I need to participate in gymnastics? What equipment do I need to participate in gymnastics?

    Depending on the type of gymnastics training you're doing, you may need access to equipment like balance beams, vaults, trampolines, and mats. However, many gymnastics classes can also be done without specialized equipment, using just your bodyweight and basic equipment like mats and blocks.

  • What if I have a question or need help with my training?

    Our coaching team is available to help you through your training journey every time you attend the studio. They provide feedback during the session every and you always have the chance to ask questions face to face. Outside of the studio for administrative help you can always email us at admin@daleckistrength.com.

    We are also available via social media channels.

  • What are the benefits of gymnastics?

    Gymnastics can improve strength, flexibility, coordination, and balance, as well as promote mental focus and discipline. It's also a fun and challenging way to stay active and build confidence. Our students tell us that doing gymnastics provides the motivation to stick to something long term. This is because it feels more like doing a sport with friends rather than just going to the gym. Gymnastics can be a great way to work on mental health.

  • Is gymnastics safe?

    Gymnastics, like any physical activity, carries some risk of injury. However, with proper instruction, safety protocols, and equipment, the risk can be minimized. Our studio prioritizes safety in all the training programs.
